Alignment with the Microsoft vision for Cloud and Mobility sees Ignia announced as the 2014 Microsoft Enterprise Partner of the Year.
Selected from a national field of Microsoft Partners, Ignia has won the highly coveted Enterprise Partner of the Year award at the 2014 Microsoft Australian Partner Conference held on the Gold Coast this week.
With over 400 Gold Competency Partners in Australia eligible to be nominated for this prestigious award, Ignia is thrilled at Microsoft’s recognition for developing and delivering outstanding solutions to Enterprise customers in the past year.
Ignia’s CEO, Phil Rickson said the company is absolutely delighted to have won this award from Microsoft.

The Enterprise Partner of the Year Award acknowledges Ignia for demonstrating leadership in driving Microsoft-based solutions to improve customers’ business processes and performance. Ignia was also recognised for their strong commitment to technical excellence, training and innovation in the Cloud and Mobility space.
Awards were presented in 21 categories, with Ignia also named as one of the finalists for the Microsoft Business Intelligence Partner of the Year award for their for their innovative approach to a complex project with the WA Department of Housing, to establish a continuous improvement program for their BI platform stack and the development of a variety of collaborative applications for the corporate intranet on the SharePoint platform.
The project has also been selected for the National iAward finals and has won a Leading Innovation Award at the 2013 AHI Professional Excellence Awards for its maintenance dashboard solution (the first BI component of the project).
Majid Bassiri, Business Systems Manager, WA Department of Housing, said that the maintenance dashboard solution has made a real difference in the way that the organisation manages and optimises its resources.
“As a Department we continue to look at innovative technology solutions in order to deliver the best possible service to our tenants,” Mr Bassiri said.
“This particular solution was delivered in just three months with a number of instant successes, the biggest of which was turning the maintenance budget back to black for the first time in years. The partnership with Ignia has had many benefits for us and we are pleased to be acknowledged by industry peers by through the 2014 MAPA Awards.”
The WA Department of Housing has continued to see significant benefits from the solution, including an estimated $1.25 million dollar annual cost reduction through its decision support system, which enables the rapid discovery and analysis of opportunities, eliminating the need for staff interaction by automating a time consuming process.
